Let’s talk new vinyl.

It has been awhile since we talked new vinyl. So finally we have some releases to mention. Yes, the Led Zeppelin Deluxe 2LP Re-issues are here! That was some wait, but I’m sure it was worth it. The Bowie Diamond Dogs 7″ pic disc is in stock now too. Let’s get on with it already!

July 12

Lana Del Rey – Ultraviolence
– 2LP
The singer has recorded songs in the studio with Jeff Bhasker and Dan Auerbach, who already worked with her in Del Rey’s last, and successful album ‘Born to Die‘ (2012). ‘Ultraviolence‘ is the second major studio album by American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey.

Jeff Buckley – Dreams of the Way We Were
– 2LP limited to 1000 copies
This superb performance, from October 1992, broadcast live by radio station WFMU-FM from Upsala College, New Jersey, pre-dates Jeff Buckley’s debut by a little over a year. While most of the songs are covers, there are two early original compositions, “Eternal Life” and “Unforgiven” – both of which later appeared on the album ‘Grace’ in 1994 (the latter by then re-titled “Last Goodbye”).

Sia – 1000 Forms of Fear

Singer/songwriter/producer/massive hit maker Sia has released her brand new album 1000 Forms of Fear on RCA/Monkey Puzzle Records. 1000 Forms of Fear was produced by Greg Kurstin* and recorded at Echo Studio in Los Angeles.

Foxing – The Albatross

With The Albatross, St. Louis Missouri’s Foxing have created an incredibly urgent & cinematic debut album. Gorgeous orchestration & shimmering guitars soar at one moment giving way to fervent vocals & intricate, crashing instrumentation the next. With comparisons ranging from Do Make Say Think, The National & MeWithoutYou, Foxing aren’t easily pinned down to a genre. Instead they are something wholly their own which is truly something special. For Fans of: Mewithoutyou, Manchester Orchestra, Circa Survive, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, The Dear Hunter. “It’s probably about a breakup or, unrequited love, but like the best songs of this stripe, it feels like the goddamn apocalypse.” – Pitchfork

That’s it for now on the new vinyl, but we’ve been working hard at cataloging and pricing our latest 700+ vintage vinyl we picked up, full of great 70s/80s/90s like Joy Division, Beastie Boys, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Brian Eno, Depeche Mode, The Clash, Bowie, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Skinny Puppy… and more more more. It has been a blast cataloging this stuff, and hope to have it out in the shop soon!
