A Nice Pair: Kacey Musgraves

It’s Sunday which means it time again for A Nice Pair…today we’re pairing the book Her Country: How the Women of Country Music Busted Up the Old Boys Club by Marissa R. Moss with Kacey Musgraves’ album Deeper Well.

Her Country showcases some of the most successful modern women of country music and their paths to stardom, riddled with the unique battles they face in “a man’s world”. It reveals the stories of the past two decades of country music and how these women threw out the rules and paved a new path. It highlights their strength in making their voices heard as they continue to sell out arenas and gain an abundance of Grammy nominations all while confronting the genre’s racial and gender biases.

Kacey Musgraves’ album Deeper Well is her sixth studio album. The album earned three nominations at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Country Album and her song The Architect won Best Country Song. We currently have a copy of her beautiful limited edition Cardinal picture disc in stock.
