It’s that time of year again, the new releases have all come and gone and now I’m anxiously waiting for 2015 and all the new music that will be coming out. For now though, I’ve put together my top albums for 2014.
I’m not one to dissect music or really analyze it to understand why it is good, I think that varies to the listener. For me, I fall for music that just catches me the right way at the right time and then there are the special albums like the ones listed here that will always hang around and be a part of what I listen to for years to come.
There is no way I could do a countdown style list as they all have a place for me this past year. So instead I decided to once again list them based on release date. I also added a biggest disappointment and biggest surprise album at the bottom of my list.
We had a few customers offer up their lists last year, I would really like to hear from you and what your top albums were. If you do a list and want to share it with us and our customers let me know I’d love to pass it on to everyone.
Okay Okay, I’ll pick one album to be tops on my list, that goes to Real Estate – Atlas.

Biggest disappointment
Broken Bells – After The Disco
Biggest surprise – kind of goes with the above, that Danger Mouse works in mysterious ways.
Black Keys – Turn Blue
That’s it for this year!
