Little books, little prices

Who says everything has to cost an arm and a leg? We’re all feeling the pinch lately, which is precisely what led me to hunt for some great quality books at low prices. At just $5.99 apiece (yep, you read that right…) these Penguin Random House UK Vintage Minis series are perfect in every way.

The twenty launch titles in the Vintage Minis series bring essential reading from the world’s greatest writers on the experiences that make us human. These stylish, entertaining, little books explore the whole spectrum of life – from birth to death, and everything in between.

…[The] Vintage Minis are formed of previously published material by great contemporary and classic writers from the extensive, award-winning Vintage backlist. Taking selections from fiction, non-fiction and essays, the Vintage Minis are a complete reading experience at about 100 pages…Low on price but big on content, these books cover the human themes closest to our hearts.

We’ve currently brought in nine of the titles, though more will be coming later on this year. As a mega fan of his work (and perhaps also due to a certain day coming up this Sunday), I can personally recommend Fatherhood by Karl Ove Knausgaard. It’s selected from his book A Man In Love, which I awarded 5/5 stars on Goodreads.

Enjoy!
