Fantastic Beasts

Since it’s raining cats and dogs, today we’ve compiled a reading list of books about animals’ perspectives. While children’s books are great at showing us the world from an animal’s outlook, sometimes it’s still fun as adults to see life from the other side as well. There are lots to choose from, whether you prefer fictional viewpoints (The Art of Racing in the Rain, A Dog’s Purpose), classic tales (Black Beauty, Animal Farm, Watership Down), non-fiction science (Inside of a Dog, The Inner Life of Animals, Animals in Translation) and even a unique romance – and my favourite love story ever between a horse and a squirrel – Horace and Agnes: A Love Story, there’s plenty here to read during the dog days of summer.
