New Releases + Halloween Weekend in Perth

It’s Friday! Are you heading to Perth this weekend to visit us here at Backbeat? There’s loads going on in the town tomorrow so you’ll definitely want to check out everything happening here in beautiful Perth: https://www.perth.ca/halloween
One highlight is there are dozens of stores (including Backbeat) taking part in a trick-or-treat event so hit them up between 1pm-4pm for some treats. Just look for the pumpkins in the windows of participating stores or pickup a list of the stores from our great neighbours Spring Children.

On to the new releases!

Preoccupations – Arrangements
“Arrangements” finds the band restoring their roots with the singular, guitar-driven, dissonant yet anthemic washes of intricate noise that have brought them international acclaim since their basement beginnings.

Belle (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Ranging from anthemic pop ballads to emotionally-laden instrumentals, the Belle soundtrack includes original songs and score music written and arranged by Taisei Iwasaki, Ludvig Forssell and Yuta Bandoh for the anime epic directed by Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Mamoru Hosoda.

Lou Reed – Transformer (Limited Edition)
Considered an influential landmark of the glam rock genre and anchored by Reed’s most successful single, “Walk on the Wild Side” along with “Perfect Day” & “Satellite of Love”. This limited version is pressed on white vinyl.

Lee Fields & The Expressions – Faithful Man (10th Anniversary Edition)
While drawing comparisons to The Moments, The Delfonics, The Stylistics, and of course James Brown, Faithful Man is able to create a space of it s own due to the group’s desire to interpret and further the formulas of good soul music rather then imitate them. The 10th Anniversary Edition is pressed on purple vinyl.

See you soon!
