Backbeat is turning 10 this year! We are truly humbled by your support and want to have some fun to kick off our 10th anniversary celebration. Maybe you’ve been shopping at Backbeat since the beginning or maybe you just discovered our store recently, either way we’re glad to have met you! Think you know a little bit about us? A little Backbeat history:
Backbeat was launched on May 29, 2011 by Johnny Pigeau and Erin Daley and was dubbed “a one-of-a-kind destination shop” which featured new and used books, CDs, movies, records and an assortment of other wares. In the winter of 2013 they had to sell the store and that’s when Dan (The Music), Christine (The Books) and Tenzin (The Boss) became the new owners. We re-launched Backbeat on April 20, 2013 and over the past 8 years Backbeat has grown its selection of new and used records, started selling turntables and audio accessories and continued to sell a wide selection of used books. We are now a destination for book and vinyl lovers from all over Ontario and beyond. We look forward to continuing to be your small indie record and book shop.

  • The person with the most correct answers wins.
    • In the event there are multiple entries with the same amount of correct answers a random draw will determine the winner from those entries.
  •  Winner can select one of $50.00 Gift Card / $50.00 eGift Card / $50.00 to use on our eShop.
    • Gift Card must be picked up at our store in Perth, Ontario
    • eGift card will be emailed but must be used at our store in Perth, Ontario
    • $50.00 to use on our eShop will be a one time $50 off coupon code
  • Backbeat Prize Pack can be picked up at our store in Perth, Ontario or shipped to you directly (Ontario, Canada only)
  • Entries accepted up to 11:59pm on April 30, 2021
  • One entry per person, per email address.
  • Multiple entries will result in being removed from the contest.
