Congratulations to Ontario-born Eleanor Catton for winning the prestigious Man Booker Award! Her sweeping second novel, “The Luminaries” just won this year’s competition.

We currently have a copy of her first novel “The Rehearsal” in stock if you’d like to check out her writing. It was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Dylan Thomas Prize, and longlisted for the Orange Prize.

Congratulations also go out to Ruth Ozeki, a B.C.-based author. Her book “A Tale For the Time Being” was shortlisted for the Man Booker prize this year. It was also on the “CBC Summer Reading List 2013” and we have a new hardcover copy of this book currently in stock.
