Recent release vinyl, one from 1998 and one I missed. Plus, loads of restocks.

Hey there good people! We’ve got lots to dig into today so we will get right to it. We just received in the latest releases from Chvrches, City and Colour and Dead Weather. The first 3 customers who buy the latest Dead Weather get a FREE tote bag! Placebo re-issues keep on coming in, the most recent being 1998’s “Without You I’m Nothing”. I’m kicking myself for missing the latest Other Lives which came out earlier in the year, it’s here now (finally) and sounds great, they have made stunning music for more than 10 years, please do yourself a favour and check this album out. We also received a big delivery of restocks and new additions to the new vinyl rotation here, check out the pic way down there somewhere. On to the latest releases!

New Release Vinyl Oct 16th

Dead Weather – Dodge and BurnFREE Dead Weather record tote with purchase – only 3 available.

Dodge and Burn on Third Man Records features eight brand new songs, along with the four previously released tracks remixed and remastered. Alison Mosshart, Jack White, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence spent their rare and sporadic free moments over the past year recording together in Nashville. With the members of the band heavily involved in other projects, The Dead Weather will not be touring in support of the new album. Thankfully the thick and heavy Dodge and Burn will satisfy your urges for the dark magic that is The Dead Weather for a very long time.

City And Colour – If I Should Go Before You

Platinum selling and Juno winning artist, City and Colour return with his fifth studio album, If I Should Go Before You through Dine Alone Records. Recorded at Nashville, Tennessee’s Blackbird Studios, If I Should Go Before You was produced by Green with additional production and engineering by Karl “Horse” Bareham. Unique to this project, the studio players on If I Should Go Before You are made up of Green’s trusted touring band: Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs, Dead Weather) on bass, Dante Schwebel (Spanish Gold, Dan  Auerbach) on guitar, Doug MacGregor (Constantines) on drums and Matt Kelly on pedal steel guitar and keys.

Other Lives – Rituals

“In our heads we’re haphazardly trying to write classical music,” says Jesse Tabish, and if you listen with an intent ear to Other Lives’ lush, layered beatific musical creations, it’s hard not to imagine the singer-musical maestro crafting his next opus. “Every sound, every drum beat has to have some sort of purpose,” he adds. 13 years since they first began playing together in their native Oklahoma, Other Lives, which includes Josh Onstott and Jonathon Mooney, remain focused on the search for audible clarity: their next expression, their next melody, their next rhythm. Rituals, the band’s third and latest full-length album, is a pure encapsulation of the trio’s relentless drive for precision. “It’s more dimensional, it’s more 3-D, if you will,” Tabish explains. “We wanted a cleaner, brighter record with more movement and more color.”
