Metric – Pixies – Slipknot

It’s Friday! The new releases just keep coming this year and we’re all for it! We’ve got several new releases to feature this week and will get right to it. But first, we just want to remind you once again that tomorrow is the Perth Night Market and we’ll be open until 8pm. It will also be the last day to take advantage of our “Summer Sale”. We discounted hundreds of new records over the past few months and you’ve got until tomorrow night to scoop up a great deal. We will be adding a few more to the selection today so be sure to check out the deals. This is in-store only (sorry, eShoppers).

On to the new stuff!

Metric – Formentera (Indie Exclusive)
Named for an idyllic island near Ibiza off the coast of Spain, Formentera is a place that, for Metric, only existed on a page in a “dream destinations” travel book that lay open on a desk in the new recording studio that guitarist Jimmy Shaw built in 2020.

Pixies – Doggerel (Indie Exclusive)
Doggerel is a mature yet visceral record of gruesome folk, ballroom pop and brutal rock, haunted by the ghosts of affairs and indulgences, driven wild by cosmic forces and envisioning digital afterlives where no God has provided one.

Slipknot – The End, So Far (Indie Exlcusive)
Grammy Award-winning Iowan icons Slipknot have released their highly anticipated seventh studio album, The End, So Far.

Buddy Guy – The Blues Don’t Lie
The Blues Don’t Lie is the amazing new album from Buddy Guy, and is the legend’s 34th studio album, and the follow up to 2018’s Grammy winning album The Blues Is Alive and Well. Produced by songwriter/drummer Tom Hambridge, The Blues Don’t Lie features guests including Mavis Staples, Elvis Costello, James Taylor, Jason Isbell, and more.

Wilco – Yankee Hotel Foxtrot: 20th Anniversary (Indie Exclusive)
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was acclaimed by music critics, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of the 2000s. It is also Wilco’s best-selling album of their career. It includes favourites like “War on War”, “Heavy Metal Drummer” and “Jesus, etc”.

See you soon!
