Record Store Day 2023 – The 411

The day we’ve all been gearing up for is nearly here…Record Store Day is this Saturday! Are you as excited as we are? We’re looking forward to seeing our fantastic regular customers as well as welcoming you if you’re planning your first visit. It will likely be a very busy day here so what we suggest to our customers is if you are after specific Record Store Day releases, get here first thing and if you are just wanting to take advantage of the big sale, come a little later in the day. There will likely be a bit of a lineup so consider that also. We’ll be running with our regular hours on Saturday 11am-5pm.

Here’s what’s happening at Backbeat on Saturday:

PRIZES!
We’ve got some amazing prizes to give away! We’ll have over $1000 worth of prizes to be won, including gift certificates from our pals at The Spare Room Bowling Lanes and Calabogie Brewing Company, Bluetooth headphones, Backbeat merch, Calabogie Brewing merch and more.

When you make a purchase on Record Store Day you can draw a slip which will indicate what prize (if any) that you won.

As part of our celebration this year we are stoked to have Calabogie Brewing Company here doing a tasting event from 11am – 3pm. With two locations (Calabogie & Kanata) Calabogie Brewing Company has launched a wide variety of beverages that reflect their passion for great beer.

Saturday is also sale day here – it’s one day only, so you won’t want to miss it. 20% off everything in stock (includes Record Store Day exclusives and items previously discounted).

Sale excludes items previously on hold/special orders, any local artists’ items on consignment and gift cards.

EXCLUSIVE RECORD STORE DAY RELEASES!
Of course it’s not Record Store Day without the amazing lineup of exclusive releases. If you want to know what will be available starting at 11am on April 22th at Backbeat, we will be doing a post on Friday letting you all know what will be in stock.
Because these are limited releases and we want everyone to have a shot at getting what they want we will only allow one copy per release per customer.
Record Store Day releases will only be available in-store on Saturday and Sunday with the remaining inventory being available on our eShop starting around 5pm Sunday April 23.
