It’s Friday! We’ve got another week with some solid fresh releases hitting the new release wall. The latest from The Beaches and Chick Corea w/Bela Fleck are out now! Plus, Sturgill Simpson has released a 10th Anniversary Edition of Metamodern Sounds in Country Music and the latest John Carpenter “Lost Themes” release is now available.
On to the new releases!
The Beaches – Blame My Ex (Indie Exclusive)
The Beaches are back with their third studio album, cracking their upbeat, brazen shell to reveal a more vulnerable inside on “Blame My Ex”. Eliza Enman-McDaniel (on drums), Leandra Earl (on keys and guitar) and sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller (on lead vocals/bass and guitar, respectively) are letting a real-life heartache lead the way.
Chick Corea & Bela Fleck – Remembrance
Remembrance, a new double album, serves as a moving final document of the profound creative and personal rapport that banjoist Béla Fleck and pianist Chick Corea first showcased at album length with 2007’s Latin Grammy-winning The Enchantment.
Sturgill Simpson – Metamodern Sounds in Country Music (10th Anniversary Edition)
Metamodern Sounds in Country Music is the second studio album by American country music singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson. The Metamodern Sounds in Country Music 10 Year Anniversary Edition features fully re-imagined album artwork.
John Carpenter – Lost Themes IV: Noir (Indie Exclusive)
With “Lost Themes IV: Noir”, they’ve struck gold again, this time mining the rich history of the film noir genre for inspiration. Since the first “Lost Themes”, John has referred to these compositions as “soundtracks for the movies in your mind”. On the fourth instalment in the series, those movies are noirs.
See you soon!
