OZZY

It’s Friday! We’ve got a few recent new heavy hitting releases to feature this week including the latest from Ozzy. Let’s get right into it.

Gewgawly I & Thou – NORCO Original Soundtrack
Baton Rouge sludge band Thou have released over a dozen LPs worth of music, collaborated with divergent artists like Emma Ruth Rundle and The Body, and released covers that run the full gamut of genres. Continuing their practice of bucking typical metal tradition, their latest record, a split release with composer Gewgawly I, is a soundtrack created for the highly regarded new video game NORCO.

Ozzy Osbourne – Patient Number 9
Patient Number 9 is Ozzy Osbourne’s 13th solo studio album and a continuation from 2020’s top 5 release Ordinary Man, once again produced by Andrew Watt. This 13-track project running nearly over an hour long has the most legendary guests ever on an Ozzy Osbourne release.

Danzig – Skeletons (Indie Exclusive)
Limited to 750 copies worldwide this reissue of the Danzig cover-album originally released in 2015.

Plus, these two August releases finally rolled in.

Fela Kuti – Roforofo Fight (Limited Edition)
“Roforofo Fight” is the 4th in the series of celebratory Fela 50th Anniversary reissues. Like its predecessors in the series, this version will be on color vinyl and the LP will be wrapped in a gold foil obi-strip with a brief essay on the album and Fela’s global impact on music.

Lilly Hiatt – Lately (Limited Edition)
Lately is a record I wrote to share some of where I’ve been with you. Whenever songs happen for me, they are like photographs of time. Last year was tough. That’s an understatement for certain. I have always felt lonely, but the irony of that is, I was not alone at all in that space. – Lilly Hiatt

See you soon!
